Hi, I was wondering if my blender only turns the greens into tiny bits and pieces, am I still getting the nutrients that are supplied by drinking green smoothies? From reading, it seems that those bits and pieces need to "masticated" by the blender as if I had chewed them to the point of cream, and if I have bits and pieces, that's not the same. HELP!

Oh Bea has a raw food restaurant nearby ... and had raw cake at her wedding! Wow, I didn't know that!!! So Cool! :-)

Kim -- thanks for dropping by to share that. The Green Smoothie team is spread all over the world and all of us have our own path to discovery on Green Smoothies ... as far as I know nobody (before Bea wrote her post ?) discovered them wile in Florida. But if I'm ever in FL again I'll go out of my way to drop by (I live in Wisconsin currently).

Now, Hmmm ... who nearby can we get to do a raw food restaurant review complete with photos ??? Anyone? (Also, if anyone lives near any other place that serves green smoothies we would love to hear about it!)

Hey...Just wanted to put my plug ing for the GREEEN SMOOTHIE REVOLUTION!! My husband and I own the ALMOND BLOSSOM CAFE & WELLNESS CENTER IN FLAGLER BEACH, FL, and raw cafe and facility that teaches the LIVING FOODS LIFESTYLE. We are totally sold out on the green maddness!! We do a variety of blended drinks but my Fav is anything with the GREENS!!

I really enjoyed the GREEN FOR LIFE book and educate others on the benefits of these yummy green concoctions in our workshops!! Anyone who has not read the book,I highly recommend it.

Bea is one of our customers (and now friends...we even catered her wedding with a raw cake!!) Not to take full credit, but possibly did ya learn about the smoothies from us?? We've had them on our menu since day one!!

Take Care and Be Blessed...Kimi

Aww Thank you ... it's people like you and all of our regular readers as well as the entire green smoothie / raw food / health seeking community that keeps me going on this blog and elsewhere ... and inspires me!

One question -- when you use coconut water, is it directly form a young coconut or do you ever purchase it canned or in another form? I hear such great things about coconut water but am afraid to purchase it packaged in any way, and as of yet I haven't been able to get young coconuts. Anyone else have thoughts on that? Thanks!
