I discovered this week’s video while researching raw vegan athletes due to my own training to run my first 15k in a few months. In the video, Tim from http://www.runningraw.com/ shares his own tips and techniques for creating AND eating green smoothies.
Wow, even I learned a couple of things watching that! I’m going to after try Dulse in a smoothie now! And being reminded to “chew” my green smoothie for optimum nutrition is always great for me because sometimes the yummy taste simply encourages me to drink it down way too fast!

Awesome video! He’s very funny and personable! I’m definitely going to post this video on my blog soon!
I made my first green smoothie with blueberries the other day and it was too thick. I noticed he adds a lot of water. I made a similar recipe with banana, blueberries, and spinach and it was like a thick pudding. I also noticed he only used the kale leaves, I throw the stems in mine. The dulse is a good idea. I bought some for when I make Ann Wigmore soup, but I could throw some in my green smoothies too. Thanks for posting, I like to look at green smoothie videos on YouTube.
Victoria — sometimes I make my smoothies into puddings on purpose — you’re right blueberries can do that every time — especially fresh ones. Otherwise, add more water to thin it out. I still need to try the dulse — tomorrow for sure! I use some stems in my smoothies and sometimes just leaves. If I use just the leaves I save the stems for juicing. In part it depends on how thick I want the smoothie or how long I want to blend, LOL. With juicing I know it will be strained even if I use my Blendtec to do the juicing.

Hanlie — yes, I was cracking up laughing watching this video.
I usually look for ones a bit shorter to feature, but this one was too good to pass up just because it’s a minute longer than many others.
