Here is a submission from one of our FREE 3-Day Green Smoothie Mini-Course Graduates, where we feature the original green smoothie recipes from our community of slurpers! Debra opted to send us a video rather than a photo, and we hope you enjoy!

How much fun can you have sharing green smoothies with your friends? Tons!! As part of a Green Smoothie Challenge I had a Green Smoothie Party at my house. I planned sweet and savory smoothies; decorated the house with greenery and offered token gifts and prizes…all green of course. LOL Three of my closest friends joined me in a feast of the senses and had a great time learning about tastes, nutrition and different smoothie combinations.
Here’s a small video from that evening:
Definitely not material for an Oscar award but I will never forget the fun we had!
I’ll share my current favorite smoothie recipe with you:
Watermelon Bliss
as much cold watermelon as you can stuff into the blender
handful of fresh mint (I’ve been using chocolate mint from my herb garden)
ice to make it really chill and frothy
Sip slowly as this truly cold, refreshing drink can rush to your head. Enjoy the sweet taste of summer!
I LOVE this video because it is not only inspiring, but it also shows that you do NOT have to wait until you have a high speed blender or other fancy kitchen tools to begin eating for your health and making green smoothies a part of your life! What do you think?
Thank you Amanda for sharing with us!
Are you working on a video (or picture, recipe or green smoothie party!) as part of the challenge?!? There is still time!
This week it was interesting to watch Sergei Boutenko’s video on how to make the best green smoothie. I think this video may be especially helpful to those of you that are new to Green Smoothies. Keep in mind that if you are enjoying your green smoothies without following the guidelines described here by Sergei– don’t worry– as long as you are getting your greens and enjoying your smoothie, there are no rules to follow.
I think the best part of that video is watching Sergei dance at the end! Do you feel like dancing while drinking your green smoothies? I often do!
P.S. If you like to dance while drinking your green smoothie — send us video or pictures! (Use the comments to link or just send it along to tami.greensmoothieblog@gmail.com; You can also post it to our facebook group: http://groups.to/greensmoothie/)
Robyn of GreenSmoothieGirl does a great job meeting her goal of “helping families eat whole foods.” In this wonderfully simple video she shares that by starting your day with a green smoothie you can get 15 servings of fruits and vegetables in at one time — yes, that is 15 servings! I would say that is a great way to start your day!
Robyn is also conducting some official green smoothie research, and you can take part in the research by answering a questionaire. You can read about it on her blog.
I discovered this week’s video while researching raw vegan athletes due to my own training to run my first 15k in a few months. In the video, Tim from http://www.runningraw.com/ shares his own tips and techniques for creating AND eating green smoothies.
Wow, even I learned a couple of things watching that! I’m going to after try Dulse in a smoothie now! And being reminded to “chew” my green smoothie for optimum nutrition is always great for me because sometimes the yummy taste simply encourages me to drink it down way too fast!
What did you learn? Do you still have questions? We’re here to help you find the answers!
Our video this week is from the fabulous Raw for Change blog that documents Bea’s journey to a raw lifestyle. It’s a fabulous new blog that is especially inspiring for anyone new to eating more raw food in their diet. We discovered Bea and Raw for Change via Twitter!
